Machine Shop
Prototyping Center - is a structural subdivision of NURIS, the main task of which is the design and manufacture of prototypes, parts, assemblies and installations by order of professors and researchers of Nazarbayev University, as well as external companies and individuals.
Machine Shop - a place where different ideas are embodied in working prototypes
Machine Shop - it is a full-fledged element of the innovation ecosystem of Kazakhstan.
Here you can make any products from various materials (steel, plastic, aluminum, copper, bronze, wood, etc.).
Complex products are manufactured and processed on high-tech and modern machine tools with numerical control (CNC).

  • design and technology consulting

  • pilot production

  • research and development work (R&D)

  • educational activities

Training class Machine Shop
The training class on the basis of the Prototyping Center is equipped with high-performance computers with licensed Siemens NX software, which are able to solve complex design and 3D modeling tasks and allow students to immediately move from theory to practice on the production site, as well as DMG Training Console training consoles, S7 training stand -1500 Siemens, PTK "Kontar", projector and interactive whiteboard.
Educational control panels for professional training of operators of CNC lathes and milling machines SIEMENS Sinumerik allow you to compose a processing technology using control and programming software (SHOPMill, ShopTurn), which provides convenient operation and simple programming of parts; produce 3D simulation of processing simulation from the training console; execution of post-processing of the control program on the CNC machine for further processing.

The following educational practical courses are held on the basis of the Training Class:
  • Additive technologies, 3D printing
  • Fundamentals of modeling in the siemens NX environment
  • Milling programming in nx cam
  • Turning programming in nx cam
  • CNC milling
  • CNC turning
  • Milling
  • Turning
  • Welding business
  • Design of automation systems based on the Simatic S7-1500 microcontroller in the TIA Portal environment
  • Automation of processes based on the software and hardware complex Komega Basic
