Bolat Sultankulov
He is a graduate of the PhD in Science, Engineering and Technology, NU SEDS program. He previously studied genetics at the University of Nottingham under the Bolashak International Scholarship.
In 2014, Bolat worked with colleagues on a startup in the field of diagnostics using an alternative method of polymerase chain reaction. In addition, he is co-founder of Pomme de Vie, which has developed serum for skin regeneration based on growth factors released by stem cells. In 2017, Bolat, along with his colleagues, received the "Leader of Science - 2017" award for services to science.
For 10 years, Bolat has been working in Kazakhstan, creating technological bio-startups, and is the co-founder of the Founder Institute business incubator. Since March 2020, Sultankulov worked on the creation of a test system for fast and inexpensive diagnosis of coronavirus in 15 minutes.
